I’ve been learning from and riding with Winter Philibert for approximately four years now. I started as an “older” beginner rider with very little knowledge, very low confidence and a whole lot of fear. Winter was very patient with me as I slowly learned to ride on lesson horses. As my riding improved, we transitioned over to riding my (green) mustangs. There were times I wanted to give up, but Winter gently pushed me past my fears. She never gave up on me. She has taught me so much about horses, safety, tack, prevention, preparedness, and even proper trailering techniques. She’s been the perfect trainer for me and my horses. We have ridden trails, pastures, roads, and even at moonlight. She’s helped me resolve behavioral problems with my two horses and has offered impeccable professional support. She’s reliable, consistent, and trustworthy. I can’t recommend her enough. She is worth her weight in gold.

Side note, because of Winter’s excellent tutelage, I had the good fortune and confidence to ride my mustang in the 2024 South Dakota Buffalo Round-up. Something I never dreamed I would be able to do. I’m still learning but owe all my successful benchmarks to Winter’s professional instruction and support.
